What we do
NN Floor Sanding experts specialise in restoring old wooden floorboards and any type of hardwood floors to a high specification such as engineering, parquet, or oak. We use top-range products and dust-free sanding equipment in particular dust-extracting sanding machines and various techniques for sanding, filling, varnishing and fine sanding. Our work includes residential and commercial projects and we also provide floor carpentry and repairs, new floor boards, lay wooden floors and sand kitchen worktops. Services
Depending on the condition of your current floors we will give you recommendations of what techniques would be the most appropriate to answer your expectations. We would love to restore your old wooden floor whenever possible but we understand that this is not always feasible, then we can provide you with reclaimed floorboards that can be sanded to match your original floors as much as possible. We also can repair the existing boards where necessary. We will provide you with advice and tips on how to take care of your new floors.

Floor Sanding
We sand all type of floors including parquet, engineered and kitchen worktops. To ensure sanding to the best standard possible, perfect finishing and to keep your house dust-free, we use the best machines, in particular the Bona Universal Belt sanding system with a vacuum system connected and the Bona Flexi sander. As we strive to make things hassle-free and convenient and sometimes our machines can be loud, it might be a good idea if you warn your neighbours about your upcoming project.

Terms and Conditions
Definitions
“The Tradesman”, “I”, “Me”- is in regards to Nikolay Nikolov
“Client”- means the person, company or corporate body to whom the services are supplied by the Trader.
“Service”- means the services carried out by the Tradesman.
“Property”- mean the property where the work under the relevant contract is to be carried out.
Unless the context requires otherwise, reference to the singular include the plural and references to the masculine include the feminine and vice versa.
Contract
These Terms and Conditions represent a contract between the Tradesman and the Client.
The Client agrees that any use of the Tradesman’s services, including accepting an offer over the telephone, email shall constitute the Client’s acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Tradesman, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail over any other Terms of Business or Purchase Conditions put forward by the Client and no variation or alteration of these Terms and Conditions shall be valid unless approved in writing by the Tradesman.
Quotation
The Tradesman reserves the right to amend the initial quotation, if the Client’s original requirements change.
The price is not including rubbish disposal.
The price is not included carpet removal if any agreed with The Client.
The client needs to provide a parking space or a visitor’s permit where applicable
Equipment
The Tradesman shall provide all supplies, products, maintenance or restoration equipment required to carry out the service, except such (if any) agreed in the Quotation provided.
The Client must provide running water and electricity at the premises where the service takes place.
Payment
Deposit of 30% of the price is required before starting the job
The remaining payments are to be made by cash or bank transfer within 24 hours of completion of the work being carried out. The rates of payment shall stay as agreed on the quotation.
The Tradesman reserves the right to charge the relevant administrative fee, plus any solicitors’ fees in addition to the balance due, incurred for any account I must refer for collection or subject to a court dispute.
Cancellation
The Client can cancel or reschedule service by agreeing with the Tradesman.
The deposit paid by the Client will be non-refundable if the client cancels service less than 5 working days before the works are due to start.
If the Client needs to change a day or time of their booking, the Tradesman will do his best to accommodate the request free of charge.
Notes and Recommendations
Please note that pet claws may mark or scratch lacquered floors. Please note lacquers are generally touch dry in 3-4 hours, oils – in 6-8 hours and fully cured in 48 hours.
I advise clients to keep their property heated to normal room temperature. Excessive shrinkage may occur if heat is introduced to a property that has been vacant for a period of time.
Please note that a natural colour variation sometimes can occur with replacement reclaimed floorboards.
Standing water can warp a wooden floor and can damage the finish. Wipe up all spills as they happen.
Vacuum with a brush attachment your new/ restored wooden floor.
Liability
Gap filling method in use is a resin filler mixed with wood dust. Because of the natural movement of the floorboards, changes in humidity, weather conditions or by exposure to excessive amounts of liquid or damp there is a possibility that gap filler may be lost or damaged or different colour in the filler may occurs due to the same reasons. I shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage to gap filler due to these factors.
Please note historical damp along the edges of floorboards once stained may come up a darker colour leaving stripe effect. I cannot be held responsible for the variation in colours.
Wood is a natural product and sometimes may contain, knots, sap, grain variation and contaminates some floorboards maybe denser variation in appearance depending on which part of the tree they were cut from. Due to the nature of these elements within wood there may be further variation once a stain is applied. The Tradesman cannot be held responsible for a variation of stain colour due to these factors.
If there is any difference after applying the stain I shall not be held responsible.
I use high quality primers and lacquers that are completely clear. I cannot guarantee the colour of the floor once the sealer/finishes have cured.
I shall not be held responsible for a poor result in restoration where this is result of considerable wear and tear, staining, liming and/or excessive damage of the floor.
I shall not be responsible for any paint that is unable to be removed from previously painted, stained or damaged floors.
Decoration of skirting boards and door frames sometimes may be required after the floor restoration due to the nature of the work. Any remedial work and decoration will be the Client’s responsibility.
I shall not be held responsible for any damage caused as a result of placing furniture by the Client on the floor earlier than 48 hours since the application of the varnish/ lacquer/ oil
Supplementary Terms
The rooms need to be cleared and all the furniture has to be removed before starting the job.
The Client shall ensure that all valuables are stored away when work is carried out.
If a stain has been requested the Client must visually choose from the samples applied to the floor. Any changes after the chosen stain have been applied to the floor are subject to re-sanding and staining charge.
